Ghosts exist or not ? { Golden Cigarette
Case }
Quite long ago,in earlier time period
of 60’s Dr.Philip became a doctor with the support of his uncle Jonathan who
was a factory’s truck driver,and died in an road accident while he was trying
to save a motorcycle’s drunk driver,Jonathan could not control ,the truck broke
the railing, fell down under the bridge, he died at the spot. Dr.Philip already
had completed his medical college and recently arrived that village.It was
quite far away from the town.There were Only some small scattered cottages in
that countryside village.He had heard that there was no doctor,people are
facing problems regarding their health in the village.In first trip Dr.Philip
met Church authorities and they help him
getting a rented house.The Owner was living in the town.Dr.Philip was an unmarried
smart,handsome man.He arrived with his complete luggage,house was completely
furnished so he didn’t need to bring many things,Even cups,spoons and forks
were also available in the kitchen.
One week passed smoothly ,he was now
familiar to market,shops,some people and neighbours.It was raining heavily with
lightning and thunder.Suddenly the telephone rang,he picked up the receiver,the
person other side was speaking in a scary voice.He was saying,”My daughter is
seriously ill,Please come Doctor.”Dr.Philip asked his address,picked up his
Doctor’s bag,locked the house,and drove the car towards that address.
An old man was waiting for him
anxiously.He immediately took him inside the Bungalow ,It was a very big and glamorous
Bungalow with very rich furniture. He took him upstairs,A beautiful girl was
laying on the bed and her mother was weeping.The Doctor took out the
stethoscope and did the check up,he then said to her parents,”Don’t worry ,she
will be fine soon.”He took out some medicines from his bag,and gave them to her
mother described the timings,to take them.”He then stood up to go home,but he
felt dizziness and fell down”
Some body was shaking his
shoulders,It was Sunny morning,two Policemen were waking him up,He got surprised
and woke up ,he got more surprised looking around,it was a park,He said,”I went
to see my patient at this address,he showed the slip to the Policemen”Seeing
the slip,they were more surprised,one of them said,No,sir,No body lives
there,it is known as haunted house”
Doctor said,”No I was there last
night,he described about the family.He insisted the Policemen to come along and
see the house.”
They reached there,It was looking
quite old,door was not locked,they went inside,It was dusty and dirty all over,Doctor
quickly climbed up the stairs,the bed and two chairs were there,but nobody was
there.”
Doctor was confused,suddenly he
indicated a gold cigarette Case on the dusty floor,he shouted,”Look ! that is
mine.”He quickly picked that up,and showed to the Policemen”Look My name is
carved on it Dr.Philip,That is me”One of the policeman agreed ,seeing that”He
then said,”20 years ago that family was living here,their daughter fell ill and
died without treatment ,both her parents committed suicide and People saw the
three dead bodies next day and buried,no body wanted to live,as some people saw
them moving in the house.”You were called here,because you are a doctor”Dr.Philip
got surprised, he did not leave the place.
