Bribery Begins –
King Krishnadevvraya was worried and
sad he had heard that some ministers and courtiers are taking bribe.He said to
Tenali Rama ,”Go and find the bribery cases”Tenali Rama said,”But I am going on
leave tomorrow onwards .”How would I do this work,but,”Don’t Worry I will send
a man named Shamshersing he will represent me in my absence.”Next Morning
Shamshersing arrived in the court,King saw him and permitted him to do
work.King said,”Go and measure the roads”he went with a string,and started
measuring”People asked what he is doing?He replied the roads are going to be
wider now,the both sides of roads are now going to be increased .All the house
owners got worried while Shamshersingh said,”If your house is on the road
side,we need to break it.”People started giving him Gold coins,and said,”Please
save our house,Army commander,and some ministers also asked share from this
bribe.Shamsher singh collected lots of money.
Tenali Rama said,”Tomorrow you must accompany me.” When Tenali Rama and
the King reached there they saw Shamshersingh and all ministers ,Army Commander
were sharing the bribe money.All were punished,Shamshersingh was doing this all
according to Tenali Rama’s wish so he was saved.Tenali Rama Said,”So I
appointed the new face.
