Light of Knowledge –
Once King Krishnadevraya announced that “On Diwali whose house will have most beautiful and bright decoration will receive a bag full of silver coins.Every body got busy decorating their houses so that could get the prize.The complete capital was looking like a bride.a rich man’s house was completely looking bright with the lights decorated,It was the best looking house in the capital after the palace.Before King Krishnadevraya could take any decision ,Tenali Rama requested him to come with him,He took him to a Bramhin’s hut,A Brahmin was teaching his students in only one lamp’s light.Tenali Rama asked King Krishnadevraya,”Is this only lamp equals to one thousand lamps ?”King Krishnadevraya smiled and said ,”Yes,You are right ,because he is teaching ,he is enlightening the students with light of knowledge light of wisdom and that is the best light ,so the teacher and the students are entitled to take this prize.The King invited them to the palace and in the presence of all courtiers ,ministers and the people he honoured them with the prize.
