My Europe Tour,
It was my long awaited dream which is now going to fulfil . We started our journey early in the morning from Hammersmith London.Taxi driver arrived on time in the morning at 4.25 on 28th July 2018 as we need to reach to the bus stop of Star Tours at Wembley ,we reached there early as there was no traffic ,it was Saturday. Our tickets were checked by the manager and we occupied our reserved seats and the bus started on time we crossed the Dartford Crossover ,Thames was looking broad and beautiful at the place. but GOD knows what was the reason we found a big traffic there and two Ambulances running from the Ferry place. We had to catch the Ferry , Our Ferry was Renowned and was very huge containing two thousand passengers at a time it was three storey Ferry, We got our Passports scanned in the bus by a lady authority officer, then all of us got our passports stamped by the authorities .I enjoyed the Ferry trip I was thrilled viewing the Sea , though it was small English Channel but seeing many ships, Cargos and Ferries made me very happy.We completed our journey at Calais the Port in France.From there we went for the Lunch which is included in Star Tour's package.and then we moved towards Brussels the capital of Belgium,here the star tours took us to first Expo 1958 Atomium memorable monument symbol nine huge steel balls,Its height is 100 Mtrs. .it was the first Expo after Second World War,Belgium is famous for Atomium,chocolates,diamonds and EU Headquarters,Its Flag contains three colours,black yellow and red.After viewing this when we were returning back our guide Mr.Surendra Shrinivas described the nine days tour programme in detail and then every one in the coach gave his introduction so that the group could get connected with each We reached Strasbourg illkrich on 28th July"s night to our hotel D'Alsace after 11 and it took about 45 minutes to reach to the room. We had shower and went to bed.At breakfast room there was a little disappointment seeing not enough plates and breakfast too and the serving people were mostly speaking their own language but Mr.Surendra sorted it out. We have started our journey to Germany,Its Capital is Berlin ,We reached Black Forest ,There we saw how Cuckoo clocks made an detail description we came to know they work through air bells,it was amazing,Every where Pine trees were beautiful .All the films scene songs were visualising in front of my eyes special specially Yash Chopra Movies whether they were Amithabh Rekha and Rishi Shridavi or Shahrukh Kajol .There after we had been to Switzerland,its Capital is Bern,France,Italy,Austria and Switzerland share the beautiful mountain range of Alps ,there viewed Rhine waterfalls It was so beautiful can't be described. people were doing boating there and some were filling waterfall 's fresh water in their water bottles. We also filled water in our water bottle it was cool and tasty.in the evening we reached Lucern.it is one of the Switzerland's towns.there we spent some time it was also very beautiful here we also saw Chappel Bridge which was made in 1333.In the evening we saw a sculpture of Lion carved in stony rocks.Its name was dying lion of Lucerne made in 1820 we then started our journey towards our Hotel Banklialp for night halt, It was in Engelberg on 29th of July We reached at about 9 P.M. To our hotel but here a problem was waiting for us as the room was not available according to our group so seven members including us were shifted to another hotel H plus and luckily we got a suite in far better hotel because of the lady manager of hotel Banklialp ,I was impressed by her boldness quick decision and intelligence to sort out the problem by doing full efforts though I don't know her name but she will always be in my mind and my heart .We woke up early and reached Engleberg,then reached MountainTitlis through cable cars and Gondola,3000 mtrs.high and it was my life's most beautiful experience to be in Snow ,Pure White Snow, we had there ice flyer and crossing the bridge thrilling experiences. It was amazing !Now again we are in the bus and just entered Italy , the manager is warning us to be alert as many thieves and pickpockets burglars are moving around so be alert about our belongings.We reached to Holiday Inn late at night on 30th July We woke up early in the morning and went to Venice by Water Taxi in Adriatic Sea Venice is amazing , there are no means of transport as the complete town at the bank of canals built long ago on water and all the streets connected through canals and there is a grand canal also all shops and markets . The boats could be hired to move and these boats are called Gandolas,About 117 Islands connected this way.we saw there Church San.Marco Basilica and tower Piazza,There were eight bridges there,the bridge of Sighs is connected to Palace & Jail,the prisoners were kept in jail,the jail was connected to the palace. ,at the big Squire then at night we reached to our Hotel,Hampton by Hilton on 31st of July 2018 we stayed there on 1st of Aug 2018 also.In the morning we went to Rome there saw first Trevi Waterfall it was Amazing. We then went to see a 5 D type of Movie on Roman History ,isn't it surprising that Roman's ruled 700 B.C. To 1400 A.D. Means about 2000 years,we have seen in many Movies like Gladiator .then we went to see the Colosseum It was huge and was representing the time.,about 50 thousand people could sit at a time to watch the fight between Man to Man or Man to animal ,which was the biggest entertainment of that era in Rome .After lunch we had been to Vatican City , it always surprised me that only a City is a complete country , when I was a student and Ancient History was also a subject. Rome was a big attraction and Pope too , The greatest Authorised Person of Christian Religion of complete world , I was there,in St.Peter's Church,who is known as the next Messanger of Christian Religion,every one was touching the foot of its image,I did too,Actually King Constantine started Christianity in Rome 300 A.D.Though it took two hours to stand in a queue in hot sun , to get inside,but when I reached in , I got amazed viewing its sculpture It was just Glorious. It was the live presentation of the grand history of Rome.How Romulus & Remus two twin brothers established Rome We got tired when reached our hotel Hampton.Next morning we went to Florence . It was not a long journey.Our manager has arranged a guide for us. We saw there the first Basilica St.Croce Church,{ Miichelanglo was burried there} It was huge and beautiful.we saw there Michele Angelo"s famous sculpture David and other sculptures,and Renaissance{1300 to 1600} was famous for social reforms.,Baroque period { 1600-1750} was famous for music and art ,The Guide described that in second World war Pope asked all the countries involved in the war not to do any bombardment on Rome because of its religious and Sculptural Importance,and this was followed by all and no bombardment was done there.We then saw bridge on river Arno and shops on its bridge. Mostly jewellery shops and leather goods shop.We reached early to our hotel Datini at Prato on 2nd August 2018 ,Hotel was good.It was a four star hotel.Today we are going to see Leaning Tower of Pisa, we left the hotel and reached there. There are four monuments in the field of miracles together symbols GOD Church,Pisa Tower,, Baptistree and grave yard symbol of Death.Leaning Tower of Pisa amazed me.I have learnt in my childhood about it ,it is tilted 4 to 5 degrees .as it is one of the seven wonders of the world. We spent there about one and half hour and moved ahead after lunch. We have just crossed Genova town at the shore of the sea,but at many places it was situated on hills so we have to cross many tunnels some where they are three at three levels.We left the hotel Datini at 8.45 on 3rd and at first 4th August we had been to U.N.O."s office, felt proud seeing our flag there Mahatma Gandhi's statue there, we saw in front of it a broken chair which is a symbol of the disaster happens after war and many people become handicap so the people sitting on chairs { Powerful People}must avoid wars,the offices of W,H.O.,UNICEF , and Red Cross, are also here.Climbing up Eiffel Tower was a great experience,It was built by Gustav Eiffel,300 Mtrs. high, it amazed me and no words to appreciate the creators who have created it long ago when there was no developed technology like today. Lifts taking up people at the top and bringing them down too. you can see the things with bird"s eye view.At night we saw the lighting of Eiffel Tower ,it is done at 11 and 12 in the night only for five minutes. It was beautiful ,These days it is used as Radio tower except tourism,Then we had been to our Hotel Novotel Paris.In the morning we all had River Cruise in Seine River and now going back toward Dower again to back to London .Including our family(5) we had 50 members in this journey . One group was from Wembley ( London) it was a family. Daughter called her parents from India for Europe Tour, her brother sister in law and little daughter (11) two families from Rajasthan --one was a couple from Rajasthan (2)and another family had two couples and one old lady (5)one more old couple from Harrow (2)one couple was from Dehradun (2) one old couple from Orissa (2) one young couple from ( both the couples were Telugu speaking , one couple was from mangalore (2) One young couple with two daughters were from Srilanka (4) one couple from Wembley with parents (4)one girl with her parents (3) mangalore family (2) Banglore (4) and from U.S.2)At first day only groups and couples were talking with own group or partners. But gradually all came nearer and started wishing each other at breakfast or lunch and dinner time. In the bus we watched five good Bollywood movies and all of us enjoyed it together we all did shopping together.Each day at night we need to take our luggage from the bus and go to hotel, standing in queue taking keys for the room allotted to us and in each early morning all of us have to pack the luggage before breakfast and again load it to the bus and move for the next destination.For listeners or readers it might be very tiring but we enjoyed it. Each day we did approx. 500 K.M. journey we slept only 4 to 5 hours each night and we did total journey of 4500 K.M.. But it was good. Good food was arranged by Star Tours and Good hotels to stay,One Rajasthani Couple got down at Paris airport,they had to catch flight for Berlin to their Son,Banglore family also caught Plane for Brussels to their family friend.The girl with her parents departed in Paris,they had to stay two more days there and then had to go Norway,where she was doing Job.The American Couple also stayed in Paris as they wanted to spend some more days.Human beings have many relations and friendsheeps in their life,they need to maintain,so they don't want ti increase this circle which they know they couldn't continue,so the people gathered here ,lived nine days together,didn't try to take addresses and phone numbers of each other.I have also described in brief as I don't know much about them.This way the return journey was not very good and every one was feeling sad departing. These nine days are the best days of my life and this Europe tour was excellent and memorable.
