It was the time 60’s 70’ s when to educate girls was common and girls also started doing simple jobs mostly teachers jobs were easily available and allowed by parents and most of their in law’s too. But the black shadow of previous Parda system though was gone a little bit not completely but the dowry system was taken a monstrous form and literally grooms were sold and bought according to their educational status and family backgrounds. During these decades bride abuse was considered as private family matter and burning brides were considered as kitchen accidents. Such way life of girls was not supported, not promoted never appreciated and in Nikita and Seema’s elope cases it was hidden by parents. Such parents used to think these acts as black spot on their name and fame. They never tried searching their daughters, if later on they come back , were mostly accepted by parents with their husbands and even if they were ditched they were also  accepted by their parents and provided chance again to restart their lives by studying and doing jobs and being independent. Teenagers used to be trapped in such false love affairs they were used and thrown away by bad boys who usually left these girls by saying that they are bound to follow  family tradition, or father’s promise to some other girl’s parents for marring with him.Most of the times they trapped girls by false promises of marriage.
