When Vishakha was telling  all the happenings many expressions were visible on Mathuradas’s face. He started speaking, “ My mother died when I was just five. My father got a job of gardener at Chandan Singh’s Haveli. There were five rooms constructed as servant’s quarter.they were allotted to Shamu the caretaker of Arabian horse, one to us, one to cleaning staff and two to kitchen butler and helper. “ Shamu was alone and I never saw him speaking. I was Also a very little boy at that time. I heard that Shamu was orphan and he was found in the village from childhood. I saw him when he was about twenty years young muscle man. He had no work except serving Chandan Singh and his horse. Food was given to all servants from Haveli.In haveli there were only three persons, Chandan Singh, his wife Kamini Devi and teenage  daughter Kavita Chandan Singh . Younger son Kalyan Singh was sent to Doon School at Dehradoon for studies. He visited only on summer holidays I saw him once only. There were no sources if entertainment those days. Mrs. Samantha used to come and teach Javita at four to five evening except Sunday’s . Only Shamu was allowed to go inside the haveli as he used to do personal works for Chandan Singh too .
