Dharavahik upanyas Bhoot-Adbhut (48)

It was the time when such extra  curricular activities were important part of school life. It was a type of Physical education, every student had to achieve. For this purpose in all schools, some sports used to be organised and their record was properly registered in each student’s record. Three days were spent for this as each and every student had to participate in these games. Simple race, ( Races were also of different types ) hurdle race, high jump, long jump , Javlin throw shot put throw, lemon race in which all participants have to put a lemon in a spoon holding in mouth and the participant who reaches at the final destination without letting the lemon fall and leaving all the participants . One more interesting race used to be organised in which all participants had to wear a bardan in the lower part  of body , means they had to hold it with both the hands from both the sides and then with the sound of whistle they had to move ahead jumping with the bardan, the participant who reached at the destination surpassing all will be declared as winner. At the annual function day all the winners used to  receive certificates along with prizes, it used to be a Prize distribution day for all, throughout the year whatever achievement he or she have gained , Prizes for them were distributed, first in class , topper in dance ,dingy, any sports or even 100% attendance also honoured by the prize and certificate.It used to be  a long awaited day for all . ———- Continued—-
