Vaishali State’s King had a son,he was ugly looking but very wise.Two years later King got another son who was handsome but fool.Both of them were blessed by Lord Indra.When they grew young ,King and Queen decided to marry them.Vishnu the elder son thought “Who will marry me ? So he made an image of very beautiful woman and asked his mother that he will marry a girl who will be as beautiful as this image.King’s people searched every where ,and when they reached Patliputra the Capital of Magadh,found the girl more beautiful than the image,Princess Mrinalini .Vishnu’s mother said,
”According to custom the girl can not see the Bride groom’s face till she gets married.Mrinalini agreed.They got married without seeing each other.Vishnu requested her mother to see her,Mother brought her out,he threw a little mud on her face,she got angry and said,”I will ask my husband to punish you for this “but soon she came to know that the man threw the mud was her husband,she left him and went back to her father’s Palace.Vishnu also followed her,he was blessed by Lord Indra so first he played Musical instrument and tried to attract her,then he made a beautiful pot,Then he sent a banana Leaf with her picture on it,but she did not take any interest.Vishnu was very sad.Some of the neighbouring Kings offered her father to get marry with her ,Her father was now worried because all of them were very powerful kings and can attack his Kingdome and capture it ,Seeing all this Mrinalini decided to go back to her husband’s house and she went back there thinking that so what if he is not good looking ,he is an artist and very wise man,and he is Fortune’s blessing to her.
