Akbar used to give rewards to Birbal
when ever a quick and prompt ,intelligent reply was received,or a good suggestion regarding governance .One day he
promised to give him reward but he forgot.One day Akbar and Birbal were walking they
saw a Camel ,Akbar asked,”Birbal can you tell me why Camel’s neck is crooked
?Birbal immediately said,”Because he forgot to fulfill his promise”Akbar thought
for a moment,remembered the incident,and his own promise and immediately gave him a very precious gold chain with diamond
locket.
