Grandma's Stories--717---The Earthquake !!

Charandas was a musician.He was living in a small state named Kanpur.He was very famous .He was well paid by the king for playing music sometime.The king  had given him a very big house,there he used to teach music,and liked”simple living”He had devoted his life for music.It was rainy season,and cool breeze was making the atmosphere cool.One day Charandas was sitting with his students and practicing music.Suddenly the earth started moving because of earthquake.He said”Run,let’s go out,its earthquake”But the earthquake was very heavy,and the floor divided  into two parts,the roof and walls fell down,Charandas and his three students were covered under the wreck.Some body informed the King,and the King came running there,with some labourers,they started moving out the wreck as fast as they could,but suddenly it started raining and once again the earth moved with the earthquake,all people got scared.It was dark,while Charandas came in senses and started calling his students,they replied,All of them were alive and safe,they thanked GOD.Suddenly they saw a shining light in front of them and they heard a voice”I  am a mannidhar snake”{ It is believed in Hindu Mythology that some snakes have a shining “Manni”on their head,and they fulfil our wishes}I live under your big house.I can give you many jewels diamonds and gold”Charandas said”I am happy and satisfied with my life,I don’t need them”but the three students ?their eyes opened wide,and they jumped  under that floor ,to collect them,Suddenly again there was a big earthquake a big move and the floor got rejoined “Chandandas was shocked and looking at it.
