In Hindu Mythology it is a saying that long long ago there was a samudra Manthan{Sea water Mixing Process} was done.Sumeru Mountain was kept in the middle and the biggest snake “Shesh naag”was rolled as a rope around it,All the GODS hold the tail side and all the Demons hold the mouth side of the snake,now from both the sides mixing process started,the snake felt pain because both the sides were pulling him,so he started throwing poison from his mouth,and many demons died,In this Process,14 Precious things came out,In which Lakshmi,Amrit and somras{Alcohol} are important.All the GODS gave the Somras to the Demons,when they were drunk,All the GODS decided to distribut the Amrit among themselves,while they were doing this, two demons Rahu and Ketu understood their trick and sat in the queue of GODS,Chandrma recognised him and shouted “They are not GOD”and it is a saying that In the eclipse Rahu and Ketu swallow it for some time.Rahu drank a little bit of it but GODS snatched it from him so some drops fell down from his mouth on the earth,and a Plant grew there, was Garlic,which is valuable like Amrit but it has a bad smell.
When Demons understood that all the GODS cheated them,They went to Bramhaa to do the Justice,He said O.K.tomorrow come to me for lunch and then I will decide that who has right for the Heaven’s Kingdom.They said o.k.Next morning they went to Bramhas’s Place for lunch.They had to sit on the floor,There were two queues in front of each other,Plates were kept in front of each Demon,but their both the hands were tied with a wooden plate,so that they could not bend their hands,so it was not at all possible to eat food,they tried,but the food was falling on their faces,nose,shoulders,chest except mouth.After one hour their time finished but they remained hungry.Now it was GOD’S turn,Their hands were also tied with the wooden Plates and they were also sitting in front of each other,delicious food was there in the plates,they smiles and started eating,Each GOD was Picking up the bite from the plate and putting it in the mouth of the GOD sitting in front of him,this way they finished their food,they enjoyed it,and they were satisfied,Bramha was showing this scene to all the Demons hiding behind the door,Demons agreed that GODS have right to have the throne of heaven.
