It was summer Vacation.Victor,Lucy and their daughter Dora had been to Victor's Mom's house,which was a big house and was built many years ago in countryside area.Dora was yet a small child she was just three years.Grandma Veronica had not seen her so they had planned this quite long fortnight holiday with Grandma.Grandma was doing well.She was fit and fine doing all works on her own.She already had made the will that Victor ,her only son will be the owner of that big house after her death.Grandma had a large group of her same age companions and they all were busy very busy in doing all the activities.Like,going to library,to Park,to do exercise,go for walk,weekly stage shows Theatre ,or watching movies in cinema hall.
Her life was good.She didn't have any valuables but only a pair of earrings she had from early childhood.They were diamond earrings .This time she gifted them to Dora, Dora was looking more beautiful after wearing those earrings.Actually Grandma wanted to get free from all responsibilities,so she gifted those earrings which were very favourite to her.Victor and Lucy knew everything about those earrings.Holidays came to end, very soon,good moments fly quickly.They had to catch the train.The train's stoppage was just two minutes there.Victor asked her Mom to stay home,no need to come to the station.The Platform was quite crowded,Everyone heard the whistle,the train was on time and arriving at the station.All people were ready to get on the train.Victor was ready,he was holding the suitcase,Lucy was holding Dora's hand,the train already had stopped,They found their compartment,Lucy was pulling Dora ahead,but she felt Dora was pulling her back,She looked her,She was indicating something,Lucy saw,It was one of the Diamond Earrings,She quickly picked it up,checked the second one in Dora's ear and got in the train.The train started moving.Lucy was telling the incident to Victor.They were surprised,how keen Dora's observation was,and her understanding too.
