Forgiveness---
Utathya’s son Deerghtama was blind by
birth,but he was very intelligent,all the skills were very well known to
him.His face used to glow with divine bliss because He had done hard prayers
and sacrifices .When he grew young,his fame about knowledge spread all over,but
because he was blind he had have many problems of cooking food.
One day Rishi Deerghtama went to a king’s court,and he made
surprised all the courtiers,ministers and the king by expressing his amazing
knowledge.King became very happy he gave Deerghtama many yards of land,four
helpers,and lot of money.
Deerghtama built an “aashram”on this
land {given by the king}and started doing farming on the remaining land.now he
did not have any food problems as the helpers were doing all works.He was now
relaxed and used to be busy in studying and praying.
Rishi Deerghtama was completely
dependent on four helpers.He even did not know how much crops are being
grown.The four helpers were now family members,their livelihood was also depending on the crops
grown in the field.They were doing all works according to their wish.But a
thought came to their minds,The owner of the land is Rishi Deerghtama,we are
servants,we do works,he only sits and eats.
One day they planned a conspiracy ,they
collected fire wood around Rishi’s aashram and to burn it,they thought, If
Rishi dies, they will be the owner of the land,then they will have their own
share and will live happily.The hut was burning,Rishi prayed to Ashvini Kumars
,It stopped burnig,nothing happened to Rishi.The helpers got surprised.But the
four servants did not stop thinking to harm Rishi Deerghtama.
One day they got a chance and they
tied Rishi’s hand and legs,and then tied inside a bag,and drowned him in a
river.This time Deerghtama prayed to Ashvinikumars and Varun Dev as well.They
all saved him and took him to his Aashram.
The four servants were thinking that
Rishi is now dead,They all were sleeping in their huts,While next early morning
Rishi Deerghtama started praying and singing holy prayers ,they all GOD shocked
“Who has brought him back?”They got scared ,they thought “Definitely Rishi has
have some divine power.”They did not come near Rishi,thinking that Rishi will
curse them,They were scared but still they were planning to kill him,King must
not know all this,so they decided to be careful.
One of them was Tretan ,He was cruel
and Brute,he said,”He will die,only when somebody will cut him in small
pieces.”
“But who will do it ?
Tretan replied with anger,”Get me a
sword,I will do the rest of work”
The other one said,” I have got a
sword ,I have hidden it in the bushes.When it will dark I will get it and I can
help you as well.”
Tretan said,”No,No,I am enough for
that.Only I would take some more land when it will get distributed “the other
three agreed.
Exactly at 12 midnight,Tretan entered
in Deerghatama’s Aashram.He cut his head,then he attacked on his shoulder,and
then chest.Deerghatama was dead,three parts of his body were laying on the
floor.Suddenly GOD knows why ,but he cut his own head.
Ashvini Kumars arrived there,they
joined Deerghtama’s body parts and he was alive.Deerghtama, requested them to
make the servant alive too.They made him alive.The three servants also came
there,they were requesting to forgive.Deerghtama said,”You want my land,I am
giving my land to you.”
