Captain & Baxter ——
Captain was the Seagull living at the Bank of Thames River.Many Turtles are also living there,but the most Intelligent among them was Baxter.Captain was very sharp and expert in fishing.He was enjoying life as there are lots of fishes in Thames.Captain had many friends.Thames is a river Directly connected to the Sea.
One day Captain was just sitting on the boundary wall,he saw crawling a turtle,he flew down to pick it up in his sharp beak.But the turtle quickly dived into the river and vanished.Captain could not find him.
Next day at the same time,same thing happened.But the Turtle Baxter did not Dive,he bravely said,”you can’t eat me until you defeat me in race”
“Race??” Captain got surprised ,”Yes” Baxter nodded his head.
“How”??
You will fly and I will swim,We will complete 10 miles.Who ever will reach first to the decided destination at 10 Miles,will be the winner,and he can do what ever he wants according to his wish.
Captain smiled,agreed,he thought “I have already won,How this slow motion creature can defeat me.”Next morning at 10 They met and the Race started,Captain was flying and looking down every after two minutes.He found Baxter was swimming as fast as he was flying.Captain got tired,he so Baxter was swimming as fast as he was swimming at the starting point.And he really swam ahead ,he was just watching him reaching to the destination and he won .Captain came down ,Baxter also came nearer and said you will never eat any turtle,you have to promise ,Captain promised but he was still surprised How Baxter defeated.
Actually Realty was different,When the Race declared and Captain went,Baxter called a meeting of all turtles,asked every one to wait at a fixed point ,and as soon as the no.1 turtle reaches and dives,near no.2 turtle,No.2 will have to start swimming,then No 2 will have to swim towards No 3,and dive ,Then No.3 and so on,They all look similar ,so Captain will not understand the difference.Baxter reached to the last point.It was like a marathon.They all are laughing ,how they fooled Captain.
