Leela—14
Leela’s first school as teacher was in Pagnispaga ,Indore,then She got promotion and went to Sharda Kanya Vidyalay as Head Mistress .She had have the perfect administrative Power,and a motherly affectionate behaviour{ For Teachers and Students as well } ,both working together.Examinations were over and teachers were busy ,in correction work,so that the results could be declared on time.They all did over time because of Leela’s affectionate behaviour .Next day before lunch brake the results were ready ,all teachers were tired ,Leela asked them all to go home and have some rest,because next day was the result day.Suddenly A Jeep arrived and stopped in the School Compound ,He was D.S.E.{ Director of School Education} Authorized to do such flying visits.He saw there was no one in school,except the Principal ,clerk and peon .He asked Leela about it she replied confidently “I allowed them to go home””Why?””Do you have authority to declare holiday?”Leela said “Since last three days they were doing hard work ,doing over time,Would you give them any special allowance for that? She said “Do whatever you want,Yes I allowed them to go home”D.S.E.had never seen such a bold woman,He then did nothing and went away.
She organized a successful trip to almost many parts of India ,Delhi,Agra,Jaipur ,Jodhpur,Ajmer.Pushkar etc.with some girls and teachers,and of course I was with her,I was a small baby and I can now imagine how tough it might be for her.I have got very slight memories of that trip,She climbed “Qutub Minar” putting me on her back.
My Mother was really GREAT,I salute her,I Pray to GOD Please ! Please !! Let her Rest in Peace.
