Once upon a time there lived a farmer named Dayaram.He was very poor and wanted to get rid of his poverty but he could not find any way.He had a small piece of land,and whatever he could grow in it was not enough for his family,so he he had to take debts from the sarpanch or the zamindaar,and he was not at all able to repay even the interest of the debt amount.Some body had told him that there is a big sadhu has come in the next village and he solves every body’s problems who goes to him and keep faith in him,so the farmer also went there with his wife and three children.They were standing in a queue.When it was his turn,he went inside and with deep grief told the whole story.The Sadhu smiled and just moved his hand in the air and there was a simple looking hen was in his hand,Dayaram was disappointed seeing that hen,the Sadhu again smiled and said”This is not a simple hen my child it gives one golden egg daily,hearing this Dayaram’s eyes started sparkling,the Sadhu gave this hen to Dayaram the family came back home happily next morning they saw a golden egg near the hen,Dayaram took the egg and went to the goldsmith sold the egg and repaid all his debts,in a few months he bought a big farm,house,and every thing for the comfort of his family,but the hen was giving the egg continuously,One day Dayaram thought”Why can’t I cut the hen and take out all the eggs at a time,and he cut the hen,there was no egg,he and his family used to spend big amount of money daily,so soon all the money vanished,his house and farm sold out,and he was again the same Dayaram asking for debts.
