Grandma's Stories--677--Cunning Jackal !!

There was a Jackal.He was growing old and he was not able to hunt.He did not have energy to run after the hunt,so most of the times he had to sleep without any food and some times he may get the remaining hunt left by Lion or some other animals.He was being weaker and weaker.He decided to go to another Jungle because he was very well known by the animals of this Jungle but May be another Jungle’s animals get trapped in his grip.While he was going it was night and he had to cross a village.It was a small village very few people were living in this village.When he was passing through this village he fell down in a big tub filled with water.He quickly came out and started running.There was a river ahead, and now its morning,he wanted to drink some water he saw he is changed now,His color is blue.Actually he fell down in the blue color,which washer men usually use for whitening the white clothes and definitely it was kept out of a washer man’s house.The Jakal felt happy seeing this change,He crossed the bridge and entered in another jungle,all animals started running here and there,they have never seen such blue animal,he shouted that he is a big saint and not harmful to them they can come to him one at a time so that he can bless the animal.Now his routine was very good,any animal which went to him became his food.It is a saying that when one Jakal makes sound on full moon night the second also do the same then third and this way all make sound.It was full moon night,he heard the sound he controlled himself,but when all Jakal created sound he could not resist and started making sound like them all animals heard it they came there together and he was beaten by all of them and then he went back to his previous Jungle.
