Next day King Bhoj again went to sit on the throne ,while Thirteenth female statue Kirtimati stopped him and started telling him a story about King Vikramaditya---
Once In Vikramaditya's court a discussion was going on that who is the most generous person in the world ?Every one said that King Vikramaditya is the only one,but a man was not speaking any thing and sitting in a corner.King saw him and asked him separately,He said," Your Majesty ! No doubt you are generous but King Kirtidhwaj is more generous than you,every day he distributes one lac gold coins to the poor and needy people.He himself got them,he showed them to King Vikramaditya as proof..
King Vikramaditya decided to see him across the sea.He went there in ordinary person's getup and asked a job,King Kirtidhwaj appointed him as guard.
King Vikramaditya was curious to know from where he gets one lac gold coins to distribute.
One day he saw the King was going towards the river,he followed ,king took bath and went inside the Kali Temple.King Kirtidhwaj was chanting some holy words then he dived into boild oil's pot.In a little some Vetaals appeared ,they took out his body and ate his flash,when Vetaals gone,GODDESS Kali appeared,Sprinkled holy water {Amrat}on him ,he became alive,Kali gave him a bag full of coins and vanished.Kiritidhwaj left the temple with gold coins.
King Vikramaditya repeated the same which Kirtidhwaj done.
GODDESS Kali tried to give gold coins to King Vikramaditya but he refused he said,"I want Your blessings only.He dived again in the boiling oil,GODDESS Kali again tried to give him gold coins as blessings,but King Vikramaditya said,"If You are really pleased with me then give me your bag full of gold coins."She gave that bag to King Vikramaditya,and vanished"
Next Morning when Kirtidhwaj went to the river and took bath,he was shocked the temple was not there.He was surprised,and now unable to help any more,he became sick.When King Vikramaditya went to him and asked,Kirtidhwaj told him everything.King Vikramaditya gave him the bag of gold."He said," When I saw you sacrificing yourself,My heart wept and so I asked GODDESS Kali for this bag."
King Kirtidhwah thanked him for his generosity .
