Grandma's Stories--961--A Story From Nepal Kingdom !!

A competition was organized to climb up and climb down on the hill for selecting a new king for Nepal's Liglig state.Neighbouring state Lamzai's { Old times }King Narsingh Shah's younger brother Dravy Shah was brave & ambitious, He saidto his two friends,"A King should be brave and intelligent,but I am not a good runner.His one friend had an Idea.The three friends went to Liglig to celebrate "Dussehra" festival.When the race started  from the mountain's base,and the fastest runner was about to reach to the top,and just crossed Dravyshah {who was hidden behind a tree} Dravy Shah came out and ran faster than him and reached to the temple,the Priest put garland in his neck without any doubt/Dravy Shah came down and was crowned as king.Ministers asked," Which order would you like to pass first ?" He said," Selecting the king by climbing hill is now finished."He said," I want to make the kingdom prosperous." Then he went to meet his mother Vasantvati and then elder brother Narsingh Shah,Narsingh Shah said ," You have made me Prosperous and Lamzai too,Now I will be King of Lamzai and Liglig too,I will have big money." Dravyshah stopped him and said," Being my elder brother,you can have our ancestral thrown,but the Kingdom which I have won,that is only mine"After saying this,Dravy Shah turned around and went.Big brother Narsingh Shah said,"Success made him mad" Dravy Shah came back and he increased his Kingdom's Boundaries.He received a congratulations message from his elder brother Narsingh Shah,and he asked "Tax",which was denied by Dravy Shah,He thought,"If Elder Brother thinks that he can bend me by threats ,he is wrong." Elder Brother said," After doing bath in sacred river chope in Magh month I will attack on his kingdom"When Mother Vasantvati heard this ,she was worried,She didn't want her two sons to be enemies.In Magh month Narharishah went to have bath in Chope with family,Rajmata Vasant Vati was also with him,Dravy Shah also came to have bath.Both were standing in both the banks of Chope.Dravy Shah wanted to meet his elder brother,but his Minister warned him not to go or go with some soldiers,He said," What are you talking,I am going to take blessings of my mother.He went and taken blessings,when he bowed his head and asked blessings from his elder brother,he looked at him with anger." Mother said," Cross the river from my left side,Dravyshah touched her feet and crossed the river,she said," If you want to increase your kingdom,increase it  towards east,never think to come to opposite side." Chope is your mother,and to cross it means you are hurting your mother." Both of them agreed and followed mother's words.
