 We the generation born in 1950’s to 1960’s and became Teenagers in 70’s was the best period for us in all around. It is said that Literature is the mirror of society, Films are also the mirror of society , this generation was actually the first generation born after independence. Everyone was living a value based life. A father who used to be the head of families and fulfilled all responsibilities, whether he was doing job or business, living in combined or nuclear family, It was reflected in all films we watched at that time, A mother, An elder or younger sister always been a loving person as daughter also, helping moms and bearing most of mom’s responsibilities along with studies in schools or colleges. Elder brother’s wife called “ Bhabhi “ and she was just like mother, many times she used bring up husband’s younger brothers and sisters along with her own children equally. School teachers were Ideal and their teaching was value based, and so they were Ideals for students and those students in their old age today remember them with respect and their eyes are filled with tears at the moment. Film’s hero, or heroine were decently dressed up, and the films story used to be based on values, even the Villain used to feel regretted so in last scene forgiven by the pity feeling audience in all films .These heroes and heroines were ideal for the teenagers. Very few love affair could succeed as Most of them were obedient children and used to surrender in front of their parents and sacrifice their so called love.There were no branded clothes, only Bata was the brand in shoes, and those who could buy Bata shoe used to be a proud person.Rice, Dal and other grocery items were sold non branded. Fans and Radios were symbols of luxury, Transistors were introduced in 1969-70, Telephones were found in Post offices or post and telegraph offices. Television were introduced in 1980’s , Postcards , Inland’s or letter in an envelope was only the way to communicate with near and dear ones and that too not frequently. In Bollywood we call the Era 60s to 70’s as golden era as we have the best films, best heroes, best heroines and best film and music directors and singers in this era, even today if we listen the songs of that era we stuck to listen it.There were no specific bedrooms, or drawing rooms in houses, but of course one specific kitchen used to be there rest space was house to study, to sleep or even to play. Toilets and bathrooms  were outside of the houses. Of course fashion cycle was always there but to imitate heroes and heroines and that too decent dresses, hairstyles, accessories. Cars were only for millionaires. Life was good it was really the golden era.
