Pratishthit Pur’s King’s name was Shoorsen Vishroot.He had each types of happiness,except a child.He was very Unhappy because of this grief.He did hard prayers,and he got a son but he was like a snake.But Shoorsen was satisfied that his son was of extra ordinary Intelligence,that he could converse like a man.King did not tell any body that his son is looking like a snake.But his sorrow increased,He used to think,”It was better before”Slowly time passed,the child grew up,it was the time for”Upnayan Sanskaar”{ Religious Hindu’s do this religious activity,while their child reaches at the age of seven eight years,In this ceremony ,They cut all his hair except a very little in the centre of his head,also he wears a cotton thread in his waist}The Boy himself insisted his father to do this,The King called a Purohit{Who does all religious events}and silently did it,then the boy finished his studies,one day he suddenly insisted his father to complete his marriage ceremony.King Shoorsen said”Who will give his daughter to you seeing your Snake look”The Boy said”I want to get married,If you are not taking any action for this I will commit suicide”The King said”How can I do this?”The son said”Kings get marry through many ways”The King got worried,he called his ministers and consulted.He also wanted to hide about his son’s look.So he said”My son is a brave Boy so you suggest girl for him”Ministers said”The Prince is a perfect man,so who can deny?”Hearing this The king became serious,he thought he must clear every thing,He said”My son is a human being but he looks like a snake.Who would like to give his daughter to him”?King’s one old minister was very clever he understood King’s problem,he said”In East India,there is a king named Vijay,has lot of money,horses,elephants.he has eight brave sons and the youngest daughter is Bhogvati,is very good and like Lakshmi,she is perfect for our Prince””But how would she marry to my son ?”The minister said”You leave every thing upon me”He assured the King and then went to King Vijay,with lots of soldiers,horses,elephants etc.He talked to King Vijay with all his cleverness,gave many gifts to him,and talked very sweetly about the marriage of Bhogvati and King Shoorsen’s Son.King Vijay agreed for this.The Minister reached back to Pratishthit Pur and gave this good news to his king.The king was still worried,He said”It may be cancelled after seeing my son”The minister went again to King Vijay,he said Prince Nagendra does not want to come here,and you know better that Royal marriage can be done with Weapon ‘ornament or cloth also. King Vijay agreed to the proposal,gave lots of things as dowry to the Minister and then Minister came back with Bhogvati,With them King Vijay’s some ministers also reached Pratishthit Pur,King Shoorsen welcomed and gave many gifts to them,they became very happy.Bhogvati was beautiful,and very good by nature,started living in her in laws house,but she could not see her husband,and how could she ?her husband was living in a room,all the time sleeping in a Golden Bed,but after some days Nagendra himself wished to see her,again King Shoorsen could not reply him.He said to his wife”Now we must not hide this any more”One day the queen told every thing to Bhogvati,She was expecting some hard words from her but nothing happened like that,she said”Normally girls get married to human beings but I am lucky that I have got married to a man with Snake look,she went to his room,and expressed her love towards him,he asked “Why didn’t you get scared seeing me?She said”It is my fortune,why should I get scared?”Nagendra smiled,he said”I am very happy with your thoughts.I got my memory back because of you.In my previous life.I was Shesh Naag’s son Strong Maheshwar.One day Lord Shiva and Parvati were sitting and talking,both of them laughed during there talk,I also laughed ]so Lord Shiva cursed me”You will look like a snake even after your birth as human being”He also said”Your knowledge will be perfect”you got worried,you prayed hard and Lord Shiva became happy”He said”After your marriage with me,I can get rid of this snake look after bathing in Ganga Gautami river”Bhogvati took him to Ganga Gautami,and now her husband was a smart,and handsome man.{ Bramh Puran}
