Old age comes to every one but when we are young we can't imagine how different it is. At that time when we see our old parents, stubborn about some thing we used to get irritated seeing this, but today when we are almost in the same age, we are remembering our late parents. How Psychology works in our old age ? This is true that 99.9 % Indian parents live alone, as because of children's jobs far at away places in India or out of India.If parents are living in good high society flat of their own then children don't worry as parents have close relationships with neighbouring people because they have lived there throughout their lives.Second type of are those who did government jobs and lived outside of their home towns and now after retirement they are back to their home town to their own home. They are not much closer to neighbours as they might be also have done government jobs throughout their lives. Now if their children are far away for jobs they always get worried for parents. They might suggest parents to come and live with them, Today's parents go , and visit occasionally to them, although they like grand children's company and also they like to be helpful for their working children, but at this age, after doing jobs throughout life,they want to spend a relaxing time, time for own self, and they don't want to be dependent upon their children so early, also living together might bring difference of opinion, and to keep the relationships sweet, staying away and visiting occasionally, always be there for each other's need or tough times.So this way Psychology with old people works. They want to visit different places of their own country till they are able to move and healthy enough.The fear of illness always grips old people,who will take care of them as children live away , they can visit but can't stay with them, children can arrange care takers but still
Old people are afraid of this. Fear of death is a common thing with all old people. Death is a must thing whether you like or don't like death will come at right time. Third type of people who had established their lives in a third town, means neither it is husband's home town nor it is wife's home town. Husbands usually moves out so they have strong relationships with few people whom he assumes be helpful in hard times when needed, but wives almost live inside home and she is not close to husband's such friends. Now no one dies together, so this fear also grips mostly wives, what would happen to me after him if he dies first. In such situation her mind immediately suggests her to go to her hometown but next moment she thinks logically, things are now changed there also in last four or five decades. Her siblings might also be sailing in the same boat and other relatives ?? She might not be close to all and one more thing is most important and that is change in economic status of everyone might be a hurdle in continuing the old relationships .Time gives reply to each such question and life goes through its own way and comes to end through its own way !!
