Slavery ----
In Vaidik Era ,At Border state there
was a Demon leader named Varshikh.He had have many queens and hundreds of
sons.They later on became famous as Vaarshikh.
In the same state there was a big
place called Chayman.two kings Abhyavarthi and Prastok of this area used to
face many problems because of these Vaarshikhs.They used to attack,steel the
crops,animals,and sometimes attack on women.
This way the damage of
crops,properties,and insult of women, forced both the kings to think and act
together.They made a common front,and attacked Vaarshikhs,but Vaarshikhs were
very strong and by using false tricks they won.
Abhyavarthi and Prastok’s this defeat
make them more stronger.Now every now and then they started attacking their
states, stealing animals and women.
In This way Abhyavarthi and Prastok
surrendered themselves,and started giving tax to Vaarshikhs.
But they did not forget the dream to
defeat the Vaarshikhs.One day suddenly Abhyavarthi remembered his kulguru
Bharadwaj ,he reached his aashram.Wished him .He asked,”How are you Abhyavarthi
?How have you come ?
Abhyavarthi described everything
regarding Vaarshikhs.He said”We are paying tax to Demon Vaarshikhs.But still
our people are not safe.
When Kulguru Bhardwaj heard all this
he became sad.He said,”Even Heaven King’s Lord Indra’s slavery is bad,and
Demon’s slavery is very very bad,but Don’t worry.Go and start for a war with
King Prastok.You need not only to defeat them but you will have to make them
slave.
While both of them were talking,Prastok
also reached there.He wished Rishi Bhardwaj.Bhardwaj’s son Payu also
arrived,and joined.
Bhardwaj said,”Now there is no need
to worry.Payu knows all Rigved’s Richas ,by which he will not only help you
winning but he will make you life long winner.You go ahead and do planning for
war,Payu is following.I will ask Lord Indra to be present there.
Abhyavarthi and Prastok went back,but
they were impatient ,and thinking of Payu,waiting for him eagerly.Soon Payu
reached there.They made arrangement for his stay and welcomed.
Next day Bhardwaj’s intelligent Son
Payu,did hard prayers of 19 “mantras”of Rigved for victory,and 18 things
provided.They were warriors with protecting ,bow,its string,bows corners,arrow
holder,horse cart rider,horses,lots of arms,horse cart saver battle field
protector ,arrows,,whip,hand gloves, poison coated arrows,iron mouth arrow,rain
arrows,arrow with bow,helpers who tie strings,and people desire war by heart. Getting
all this Abhyavarthi and Prastok became very happy and they attacked
Vaarshikhs.Lord Indra was watching the battle holding “Vajra” {Made by bones of
Maharshi Dadhichi}in hands.
Within no time they defeated ,killed
and captured Vaarshikhs.Haryupiya river’s water got red with the blood.Abhyvarthi
and Prastok captured Vaarshikh’s state.
After war Lord Indra reached to
Bharwaj Rishi’s Aashram and congratulating .Abhyavarthi and Prastok got lots of
properties ,jewels ,gold and gems,diamonds.
Vaarshikhs were finished for
ever.Abhyavarthi and Prastok remained winner ever.They offered a big part of
the winning property to Bhardwaj Rishi’s aashram.
