Hard Earning Money ---

Ramsingh was living in jeevangarh.He was serving in Aurangjeb’s Army.His cousin brother,Jeevansing was married,had have two children,but jobless.He used to insist Ramsingh to help him getting job in Aurangjeb’s Army.Once when Ramsingh came home in yearly holidays,he again insisted him the same.

When Holidays were over and Ramsingh was going back ,jeevansingh also went with him.Ramsingh arranged his meeting with Aurangjeb through his officer.
Jeevansingh did not know the rules and regulations of the state so when he was in front of Aurangjeb,he could not wish properly to Aurangjeb.

But still,Aurangjeb asked him,”What is your name young man ?

“Jeevansingh”

“Which work can you do ?

“Your Majesty ! I want to serve you”Auranjeb looked at him and thought he is an honest man.

Aurangjeb said,”Then it will be very tough for you to get any salary ,because,by writing “Kuraan “ and stitching caps I earn for my livelihood.My service means you can’t get any money from Royal treasury.You will have to live on “Roti Kapada”{bread & Clothes},If you are agree,you can go.

Listening this,Jeevansingh said,”Your Majesty ! I agree ,but if you have some remaining of hard earning money “{ left from all expenses }Please give it to me I would be obliged.”

OK.Today onwards you will clean my bedroom and serve me.You will get food and clothes ,and only if something left after all expenses.

Ramsingh was again going back home in yearly holidays,Jeevansingh also had completed his one year’s service.Badshah Aurangjeb was at that time in the court.Ramsingh met Jeevansingh and said,”Tomorrow I am going home,If you want to send something for your family ,come to my place tomorrow morning at eight.

After having dinner ,Badshah went to his bedroom.Jeevansingh was massaging Badshah’s head then body then feet.Badshah ,after a long time asked,”Its 10 O’clock,why are you not going to sleep.”

Jeevan singh said,”Please excuse me Your Majesty ! My Cousin is serving in your army,He is going home tomorrow.He is saying I can send any thing for my family with him,I will go to his place and give him,If something left from {Hard Earning Money}then please give me ,Only this is my request.

Hearing this Badshah Aurangjeb immediately took out a handkerchief  ,which was kept under his pillow,he untied the knot ,took out a “Taka”{Two Paisa} and put it on Jeevansingh’s palm.

Jeevansing went to Ramsingh and gave the Taka to Ramsingh and said ,” This Taka is from hard earning money ,give it to my  family,and tell them I am fine here.

Seeing that Taka,Ramsingh felt pity on Jeevansingh,but he did not speak anything.

When he reached his village,he thought,Instead of giving this “Taka” I should buy something and give it to Jeevansingh’s family”He saw a fisherman was coming,they knew each other,Ramsingh said ,”Give me a fish worth this “Taka”,the Fisherman gave him a one Ft.long fish.”Ramsingh reached his own home,and sent the fish to Jeevansingh’s house through his children.

Jeevansingh’s wife was surprised and looking with wide eyes,because saw a diamond inside the Fish,while she was cutting the fish.It was lighting their dark house.

Next morning she went to the Jeweller ,He said it is worth one lac rupees,but I don’t have that much money just now,I am giving you 20 thousand rupees now ,I will pay the rest of money soon,Jeevansingh’s house was now a big building,his family’s time changed ,After two years when he came back ,got surprised seeing the pleasant change,he asked his wife,and she described.”Hard Earning Money’s” Taka was worth One lac rupees.
