Grandma's Stories--710 --Karma !!

Mahabharata war was finished.It was fifth day.Duryodhan,Dhratrashtra and his hundred sons died ,and including Abhimanyu Draupadi’s five sons died.Hastinapur,Pandava’s Capital was now a camp of widows and orphan kids.Dhrashtra was not able to see but tears were rolling and making his pillow wet while Their  weeping with deep grief heard by him.

He was very sad as Pandaws won the war.Though Lord Krishna was trying him to calm down,but he was restless,and very much dis satisfied.

One day suddenly Lord Krishna said ,”Yudhishthir ! Dhrashtra is very sad ,so it is our moral duty to show sympathy.
Both of them reached there.They touched his feet{An act to give respect elders } and sat on his cot.After some moments Yudhishthir said,”We are also sad for what was happened ,May your all sons rest in peace and may GOD give you strength to bear the sorrow.”He looked ar Lord Krishna.

Yudhishthir again said,”Life and its incidents are Pre-decided,till we are able,You will not face any problem.You are respected to us ,We have lost our father so we will feel happy to serve you”

These words were spoken very normally by Yudhishthir but Dhrashtra was so sad by the death of his all sons,he started weeping ,He said I want to ask a question to Lord Krishna.”

Krishna said ,” Please “

Dhrashtra said,” You know every thing,You are the organiser of this complete game and it was played according to you.”Vasudev ! I know my previous three lives ,I have not done even a small evil to any body then why my hundred sons are killed in the war ,You will have to reply me.”Dhrashtra again started weeping.

Lord Krishna did not reply.

Then again Dhrashtra said,”Keshav ! Why are you silent ,You describe my sins ,otherwise I will curse you.He spoke loudly.

Lord Krishna said,”I know that ,previous three lives description is known to you.But one has to face the results of his bad works or sins .You know about three lives ,You now just have a look at your previous hundred lives,You may know why had to face death of hundred sons”He kept silent.

Dhrashtra was now remembering previous 100 livesHe said,”I have seen 100 lives but no I had not done any sin ,definitely injustice done to me”

Ok! Now you see your 101 number of life,then only decision can be taken.

Within a second Dhrtrashtra reached to 101 number of life,he was viewing and immediately he said ,”You are right Vasudev! I am a big sinner ,I have killed and eaten those whom I brought up,So I faced this result.”

It was A Kind swan couple,I could saved my self for 100 lives,but one has to face the result of his sin so faced.I have faced the punishment,now I can die with peace.

Lord Krishna was not surprised ,He then asked Can you please tell us the complete story,why the result was so scary.

Dhratrashtra started saying,”I was continuously king in last 101 lives.I was religious and powerful king always.I had have money properties,name fame and army power.In my palace there was a pond full of lotus flowers,There was a pet couple of Swan,I loved them more than my life.Every after some time,they gave birth 100 small babies,They all were very happy,People used to come with their children to see them.

One day ,in summers ,I had been to jungle for hunting,but could not find any hunt.When I reached palace,I was hungry and thirsty,I asked my nonvage food.The cook immediately went to the pond and asked a baby swan from the guard,he cooked and served me.I liked the meat,and
asked him to serve the same every day,he served 100 days,when he could not get on 101’ day,he served different,I asked why doesn’t  it taste the same,The cook said,” The hundred babies are fin ished,now only the Swan couple left ,They can lay eggs,if stay alive.Hearing this I trembled with fear,he ran towards the pond,he saw the swan couple dead there.He said to the couple,”Please forgive me” The Swan said,”We got hundred babies,and lost hundred babies here,You will also die in grief of your hundred sons in your 101 life”

“Keshav ! My heart is full of grief and regression ,No I don’t have any desire.I reap what I sowed ,I got the result of my sins,It is true,one has to face the result of his karmas,Gandhari also wants to come with me,so like those Swan couple,Please do the funeral together.
