Grandma's Stories--401--Betty's Daddy !!

Ten years old Betty was living in Scotland with her mother.Her father Mr. Smith expired in a car accident,when she was just four years old.She has a faint idea about him .She remembers “He used to put her on his shoulders,his kisses,and hugs,cuddles,and the feeling of great protection in his arms.Though her mummy Marilyn was a strong woman and was running a gift shop since last many years with the help of Mr. Kevin .Mr. Kevin was a bachelor man of Mr. Smith’s age.He also loved Betty very much.Merilyn was bringing her up with love and discipline.She was giving everything asked by her,she was giving a protected and safe life to Betty.Betty some times felt the discipline very hard.at that time she used to miss her daddy very much.In school also she used to feel sad ,when ever she see ,other children’s Dads,who were there to pick them up from school ,or to drop there,Their hugs,cuddles,kisses,made her feel some big things are lacking in her life,of course her mom loved her very much gives or buys every thing asked by her.It was winter vacations all her friends were going out for holidays but Betty’s Mummy was very busy in her shop as it was high time for earning money,because everybody was buying gifts for their near and dear ones.Betty was at home with her nanny Freny ,who was taking care of her and was house maid as well. She was also all alone in the World and quite old, so living with them It was snowing outside Betty was busy making a Snowman ,She made a very big snowman ,put her father’s cap on its head and Muffler in neck.She then went inside had have her dinner and went to bed room.Tomorrow is Christmas,She herself decorated the Christmas tree with the help of Freny.She was trying to sleep,with the sweet memories of her Daddy.She fell asleep soon.She had an amazing dream,She saw the snow man was her Daddy.She had an amazing dream,she saw the snowman,was her Daddy,sitting with them on dining table,laughing and eating,Mummy was also very happy ,they were celebrating Christmas,and she was then introducing her Daddy to all her friends who were dancing in the hall.They all were laughing at her Daddy.She started yelling.She suddenly saw the Snowman turned into Kevin Uncle,Kevin Uncle smiled,He hugged her.All friends were now clapping.Next morning she woke up and was thinking about her dream,she went running out ,The Snowman was still there,Mom’s car stopped,she got down with Kevin Uncle,Kevin Uncle hugged her and she felt the same warmth she used to feel in her Dad’s arms.
