These days my office is in front of a Butcher’s house.Every day or every alternate day A very Pathetic scream can be heard at any time.It is really very tough to imagine our neck on wooden log ,under sharp Knife’s blade.I remember a story published in “Sadhan”A religious Publication.My Daddy used to read it.
Human history shows that human beings were also living life like animals in stone age.They were living in caves ,hunting animals by stone’s sharp hand made weapons.
Gradually they got developed,and reached up to this modern age.The relation between human beings and animals changed a little.He started doing farming with the help of Oxen,he started milking cows for selling milk and milk products.Horses became useful for messengers to ride,even birds like Pigeons also became good messengers for years,and still Camels and Pigeons are being trained for smuggling purpose.
Probably in all parts of the world and mostly in religions Sacrifice of animals is being done as a sacred deed.Most of the birds are being eaten in the World,even some bird’s nests are bought and sold for eating at a surprising price,more than Gold.Meat of Camels,horses,Cows,Sheep,Goats,Pigs and I guess many others is eaten in the world,some are eaten alive.All types of Fish,Octopus and other Aquatic animals are also eaten,People call them Sea food.Even small insects like Cockroach and others,even Snakes are eaten.
Now I want to share that story which I have read in “Sadhan”when I was a child.
One Gentle man{Raicharan} was going to his office on his bicycle,while he saw a man pulling the string tied in a goat’s neck,The goat did not want to walk ahead even a single step,so the man was dragging the goat.
The Gentle man{Raicharan} stopped,got down from his bicycle and asked ,”Why are you pulling the innocent animal ?”I am going to sell it to the butcher’s shop,I need money and Today it’s holiday ,many people come and buy meat.The Gentle man{Raicharan} was feeling pity for the goat.He asked,”How much do you want for this goat?””Rs.50”He replied.The Gentleman{Raicharan} took out Rs.50 from his pocket,and gave him.It was quite a big amount those days.He then hold the string and brought the goat home.He handed over the goat to the servant ,asked him to take care of it,and went back to his office.In the evening when he came back home,he heard loud laugh from the drawing room,he asked the servant “Who is there ?”The servant said “Rajendra Babu has come with his five friends,for holidays”Rajendra was his only son serving in Army.Raicharan felt happy.Suddenly he saw the string tied to the wooden pole , was hanging but the goat was not there,he asked the servant “Where is the goat?””Rajendra Babu cut that and asked me to cook for him and his friends “Raicharan was mum,he could not utter even a single word went inside to his bedroom,and was thinking about the incidents happened that day,”Prarabdha”He whispered means “Fate”——–
