Grandma's Stories--663--Monkey & Crocodile !!

There was a tree at the shore of a river.It was a Black Berry’s Tree.A Monkey was living on that tree.One Morning a big Crocodile came out of the river and laid down on the sand,After some time he Opened his big mouth because he was yawning,Seeing this the Monkey plucked a black berry and threw it in his mouth.The crocodile chewed it and swallowed it ,he found a very good taste and he again opened his mouth,and the monkey did the same,in the evening The Crocodile went into the river but next day again he was present at the same place to eat the black berries,Now this has been his routine.One day he took some black berries for his wife,his wife ate them and fount them very sweet,she asked”From where you have brought these?My friend Monkey gave me,he lives on Black Berry tree.,he eats only blackberries””Oh! Oh! Then his heart must be very tasty and sweet,I must eat his heart,You go and bring the monkey here””What are you saying?he is my friend,How could I do this?””O.K. then I am going to my parent’s house””O.K.,O.K.I will bring him tomorrow”he said.Next morning he went to the shore and called the Monkey”Come down friend”The Monkey came down”The Crocodile said”Every day you give tasty Black Berries to me”Today I want to invite you for lunch,come with me”Monkey said”It’s O.K. but how can I come,You live in the river and I can’t swim””No,Problem,You sit on my back and I will take you”Monkey said”O.K.” and he jumped on his back,the crocodile started swimming,when he reached at the middle of the river he said”I am not taking you for lunch,instead,my wife wants to eat your heart because she thinks Just because you eat Black Berries daily ,your heart is very sweet”Hearing this The Monkey was shocked,but he kept calm,his brain started working speedily,he thought”I am in the middle of the river I can’t jump in the river because I can’t swim”He said”Oh ! Oh ! then why didn’t you tell me at the shore,Don’t you know?Monkeys always keep their hearts hanging on the branches of the tree”No,I did not know,now what?”We have to go back,and then I will give you my heart””O.K.”He turned around and started swimming towards the shore,as they reached,Monkey jumped and climbed the tree”The Crocodile looked up”Monkey said”You fool,can any living being take out his heart and put it aside,you are a cheater so you are not my friend now,I gave you tasty Black Berries daily and you were taking me to kill,Go! Just Go away,You are not my friend any more”
