Grandma's Stories--664--Snake & Crow !!

There was a Crow couple living on a tree.It was a very big tree.Some days before a Poisonous Snake came there and started living in a hollow space in the stem of the tree.The Crow couple could not know it.One day female crow laid eggs.While they were out for searching food,the snake slowly went up,and ate all the eggs,when the Crow couple came back and did not find the eggs,they became very sad,the female Crow wept like any thing.The Crow said”Don’t worry,calm down,every thing will be fine”After some months the female Crow again laid eggs,and again the same thing happened,The female Crow was crying but the male Crow was not crying,he was just thinking,because he had seen the Snake when he was going back in the hollow space it was very dangerous to fight with him because he was not as strong as the Snake..There was a big Palace near by.Next day the Crow went there and sat on the high wall of the Palace,He saw the Queen kept her ornaments at the shore of the swimming Pool and entered for Bath.An idea clicked in his mind,he started shouting “Kaon-Kaon”loudly and repeatedly so all the soldiers  and the maids and the Queen herself attracted towards him,then he flew down picked up a precious golden garland in his beak and flew away slowly,the Queen shouted”Catch the Crow,he is taking my ornament,The soldiers started running and following the Crow,Showing them,the Crow,dropped the garland in the hollow space of the tree,The soldiers saw this,they had torch in their hands,they first saw inside and found a Poisonous Snake there with the garland,so they first killed the Snake with stick,and then took out the Garland and went back,The Crow couple was very happy,After some months,They had small babies in there nest.
