Grandma's Stories--682--The Intelligent Rabbit !!

There was a Jungle,all animals were living with love and peace there.Some days ago a cruel Lion came there ,declared himself as a king,and started living in a Den.He used to come there,kill many animals,brutally,and eat only one.All the animals were very sad and they had called a meeting.In that meeting they decided that one of those animals,will go to the Lion and will request him not to attack many animals in a day,instead of that,one animal will go to him as his food.But who will go and convey this message.No body could dare to do this work ,so the rabbit agreed for this.He went to his Den,The Lion asked”Why have you come?He replied”I am a representative of all the animals ,they want you not to come in the Jungle,instead of this one animal will come every day at 12 o’Clock as your food.The Lion thought for a while and agreed for the proposal.The Rabbit reached back,all animals were happy,but soon given a number to each animal,it was his turn’s number,turn to die,they again became sad,but helpless,they have started going to the Lion according to their numbers.One evening The Rabbit was just walking through the path,he heard weeping,It was Mother Deer and Baby Deer’s house,Both of them were weeping,The rabbit asked”Why are you crying?The Mother Deer said”Tomorrow is my turn,My Baby will remain alone so I am crying”The Baby Deer said”Mother Deer will go tomorrow so I am crying for her”Hearing this the Rabbit felt very sad,he immediately took Mother Deer’s Number,and gave back his own number to her and said”You need not to go tomorrow,I will go myself”Next morning he came out of his burrow and went to the Park,started playing,running after butterflies,then went to the carrot’s field ,ate them,laid down there,It was 2’o’Clock,now he went to the Lion’s den.He was moving fast here to there and there to here with anger and hunger.When he saw the small Rabbit his anger increased,he said”I am hungry and you are so small that you can’t satisfy my hunger,and why have you come so late?The Rabbit said”When I was coming I met an another Lion,he stopped me there,I ran from that place any way,he was saying”I am the King”Hearing this The got angry,he said”I am the King,I don’t believe,what you are saying””No,Your majesty ,I am speaking the truth,I can show you,””O.K.come and show me where he is?”Rabbit said”Please come”When they reached near a well,Rabbit said”Your Majesty,he is there”The Lion saw in the well,he saw his own image,he roared,and the Image also roared more loudly because it  was echo sound,he got angry and jumped in the well to kill the Lion,means he drowned in the well,The Rabbit came running with the good news,all the animals have had a big party at night with dance and Music.
