Long long ago there was a kingdom.The King’s name was Uttaanpaad.He had two Queens,the elder Queen was Suniti and the Younger was Surich.Dhruv was the son of elder Queen.One day he reached to his Dad,who was sitting in his Court.He picked up Dhruv and put him in his lap.Just in a minute ,the younger Queen came there and she Put him down on the ground.She became angry.Dhruv was a little boy so he started crying and went to his mother and complained,his mother said”GOD’S Lap is bigger than father’s Lap”Dhruv did not understand these words,he went for sleep, but he could not sleep,While his mother slept,he got up and touched her feet for blessings and came out of the Palace and started walking.After some time he reached in deep forest,suddenly a lian came in front of him,he asked him politely”Are you GOD?”the lion did not reply and went away,Dhruv again started walking He met a Beer,He asked”Are you GOD?Bear also went away without any reply,Then Dhruv met Naarad Muni{A great saint}he asked “Are you GOD?” He replied “No,I am not GOD but I can tell you about the way to reach GOD”Dhruv asked “Which way?”He said You have to forget your hunger And thirst and pray GOD for days,weeks months or may be Years,until GOD listens you.”and he went away,Dhruv sat there and started “Tapasyaa”{ Hard Prayers without food,sleep or thirst}after many years GOD became happy and came there and said”Dear Dhruv!Open your eyes,”Dhruv opened his eyes,GOD asked”What do you want?I want to sit in your Lap”GOD said “Tathaastu !{O.K.}and since that moment we see Dhruv as a star in the sky,the most shining star in the sky.
