Next day king bhoj again went to sit on the throne.Taramati the Eighteenth Female statue stopped him ,She started telling him a story about King Vikramaditya---
One day a learned from south India visited Vikramaditya's kingdom.He brought Sanskrit Poetry.He said," Betrayal is the biggest sin.King Vikramaditya asked him to describe it--He started telling a story--Many years ago King Aaryavartha got married for the second time.He loved his second wife so much that he could never imagine his life without her,so he used to bring her in court everyday.But courtiers did not like this.
One of the ministers was his friend ,he said to the king,"Your Majesty ! It is not our custom to bring a lady in the court.So Please don't bring her to the court.
King said,"No,I love her very much so I will bring her to the court.
"Why don't you get her Portrait hanged in the court so that you will not miss her.
Next day an artist was called and asked to make a portrait.When he finished the picture,King was surprised to see the mole on her left leg.
He asked the painter"How did you know ?"
The Painter said,"I have certain instinct through which I can see through person's cloths.
The King did not believe.He asked his soldiers to take him to the jungle kill him and bring his eyes.The minister followed the soldiers,and saved his life.He gave them deer's eyes and asked them to give them to the king.
Some days later,King's son went to the jungle for hunting,suddenly he was attacked by a lion,he saved himself ,he climbed up a tree,he got scared to see a bear sitting on the another branch of that tree,Bear said," Don't get scared of me I am also here because of the lion.Both of them were waiting for the lion to go.Bear warned the boy not to sleep.Late at night the boy felt sleepy,so they decided to sleep turn wise.
When the boy slept,the lion said to the bear,"Don't trust human beings,push him down so that I can have good meal and you will be free to go anywhere.
But bear refused so.
After midnight when it was Bear's turn to sleep,the lion asked the prince to push the bear down,when the boy was pushing him,he woke up and jumped to another branch.
You cheat ! You have betrayed me,violated my trust.Realizing own mistake,the prince felt very bad.He became speechlessNext day soldiers found him and took him to the palace.Many Vaidyas { Doctors} came and attended but failed to cure him.
One day the minister asked the painter about the Prince's grief,as he has special instinct.The painter went to meet the prince in ordinary man's getup,and came to know the reason of his illness.When repeated the whole things of that incident,he began to cry,that cry relieved his sorrow and sadness,he started speaking again.The King thanked the painter and gave him many gifts.He told the whole incidence happened with the Prince and he disclosed his identity too.King apologised,gave many gifts to him.
After listening the story King Vikramaditya gave many gifts to the poet.
Taramati then asked King Bhoj have you ever gifted valuables to the learned people or praised them ?
