Grandma's Stories--995--Gilbert's Gang !!

Gilbert was a ten years boy studying in a good school.All his teachers loved him because he was very intelligent and well behaved child.He had many friends in school and some around his house.He was very kind.One day they were playing in the garden and suddenly they heard puppy's painful barking.They all ran towards those bushes.They saw a little pomeranian puppy was stuck there,they were thorny bushes.Gilbert skillfully rescued him with the help of his friends,they saw the dog's master arrived there and thanked them.He offered them a treat of Ice-cream but Gilbert thanked gently.The gentleman took the dog with him.
Gilbert had a good Idea.He shared the Idea with his friends.He said,"We should make a rescue gang and we must do this one hour after school ,and four four hours on Saturdays and Sundays.All friends agreed happily and they started doing the work successfully.Their teacher Mrs.Brett knew their mission and their achievements.She knew about each incident,how they rescued all the birds stuck in branches,or threads,dogs in pipes or tunnels,in muddy bog.Or they rescued them while they were fighting with each other.
Yesterday it was the last day of school's social gathering and Chief Guest Mr.Mayer arrived and Gilbert's Rescue Gang received first prize,they got the special small necessary things useful for rescuing birds and animals.All the parents were very happy their kids had done great Job.
