Though we have metro,A.C. buses,battery rickshaws in our metropolitan towns.Horse carts { Tonga } are vanished but we see Cycle Rickshaw puller yet in our towns.We found then usually at bus stand or railway station,out side the cinema hall at the time when movie is over and viewers come out of the cinema hall and want to go home.
Rickshaw puller has to deal with all sorts of people,students,businessmen,ladies,educated or uneducated ,so he is tactful and understands temperaments well.
He has to drive his rickshaw along rough and smooth roads.He works in all seasons.Even if he is tired he has to listen passengers and drive faster.
He is poor,eats simple food.Usually he comes from far away states.He shares the rented house with other many rickshaw pullers or labourers like him from far away states,some times the number of persons live together is more than 25 in a hall like shelter.
Some times the rickshaw is his own but sometimes he takes on hire,and he has to give a fixed amount to the owner.He spends less money and sends money to his family { mother father wife and children}He often eats less,just takes tea to refresh himself.He lives a hard life.At the time of Dussehra Diwali he goes his home to meet his family.
