When we the third generation after independence were studying in school we were paying just 20 paisa per month as our school fees , One or two private missionary English medium schools were also there in every town .Tuition system was there at that time also for weak children and it was not prohibited by school management. When this generation reached college then started paying 70 Rs per month as full month's hostel fees, gradually the number of private school increased and with the HiFi names and convent educated teachers.The craze of such schools increased and school fees also increased, Coaching classes system became an important and necessary thing up till now . For fourth generation after independence children, fees was paid as 1500 for three months ( one term )with transport for renowned schools in Metropolitan city. Tuitions and Coaching classes were working full fledged and unavoidable for children who were appearing in medical or engineering or any other competitive exams.Now most of the private schools have become the pure busyness centres , they have their commissions for uniforms , books, stationary and even from the canteen running in school campus. Besides summer and winter's different uniforms, they distribute the whole school into four houses with four different colourful uniforms for once or twice in a week, means no chance and space is left by the management to take money from the parents. Besides tuition fees for each term,They take a big amount as annual fees , medical fees , sports fees, library fees , and admission fees every year, and even though the student is already enrolled in their register.such English medium schools are found in all streets, I personally feel they grew like unwanted grass , even at small places with no play ground they are running , they take big amount as fees and they pay a very small amount to teachers , teachers just passed 12 class can apply here and get job , And then starts the struggle for admission in professional colleges , Government colleges have less fees but Most of the seats are allotted to the brilliant candidates or for the recommended people by ministerial level or highest authorities, In private colleges the seats are being sold, one seat for Lac of rupees, besides the high fees per month .I guess there is no government's control for such things. !!
