Today’s Tip !! Once upon a time !!

We the generation born in 50-60 are called Limited edition and that’s very true because we are unique. We started our childhood between fifty to sixty, we didn’t have toys to play, boys and girls both used to play gilli danda, sitoliya , even khokho in the streets, nadi le ki pahaad , aankh michauli ( Eye spy) and  दडा मार a ball made by waste cotton cloths used to be thrown at the back of any one among all the players and then, if the ball hits, that boy get chance to throw the ball. In summer vacations we used to play ( पाँचे -five small stones or some other objects made by Lakh or sagar gota ) this was the game for girls only. Boys and girls both played ( asht Chang pay ) it was a very interesting game without spending any money, by drawing a board on the floor by chalk and tamarind seeds were used as dice , it was so interesting children used to play all day long. We had only four or five dresses and two or three uniforms,Our parents used to buy new clothes and shoes along with crackers for us on Diwali and we had cotton white shoes we used to wash them ourselves and polish that by white chalk, We had ink pens, and ink pot to fill the ink by droppers, we had pencil box too which we called compass box in which we had have Geometry instruments, eraser and sharpener with pencils. Same course books were used by one after another class students and so they were kept in good condition to sell or purchase from the market. We used to pay 20 paisa as our monthly fees in schools,We always go to school on foot and by bus to college. We took part in games and school’s cultural programs freely. We respected our teachers, If we are brought up in villages due to parents transferable jobs we could get chance to see movie once on a year during visit to home town. We didn’t have breakfast, we called it lunch before going to school at 10.30 then in school’s  recess we used to eat one more parantha which we used to bring in our lunch boxes. We shared it with our friends.Study was our entertainment. Girls and Boys schools were mostly  different. We celebrated all festivals with great enthusiasm. Boys and girls used to get attracted towards each other due to infatuation, sometimes some love letters caught and used to become a subject of discussion among people. Parents used to be worried about their daughter’s marriages , they didn’t want their daughters to be very ambitious. Just after graduation or post graduation the girls were married and sent to their husband’s house. We didn’t have fans up to 1980’s we got TV in 1982 during Asiad games. We saw the fast development from 2003 after Internet and  mobile entered and changed with new features quickly. We have seen two centuries and eight different decades. We defeated Polio, and now even Corona. We have seen telegram from telegraph office, long distance calls on telephones to today’s video calls.WhatsApp chats, Reels on YouTube or Instagram. We listened to our parents our in-laws, and now listening to our children  We still haven’t changed our routine, we wake up early and sleep early, We take care of our relationships with near and dear ones, we stood always there for our children. We trust GOD and believe he is there for us we believe that we have always taken care by GOD.
