In his young age Tenali Ram was a lazy boy doing nothing in the Village.One Monk suggested him to go and pray to Goddess Lakshmi He did the same and got blessed by her.She blessed,” You will always be successful in making people laugh”He wanted to go to Vijay Nagar the Capital to the King’s court,but he did not know any one there.He came to know that one Pandit Rajguru has come to his village to do some special prayers to the Head man’s house,he decided to take his help,he first wished him talked to him and then followed him.When Rajguru saw him coming to his house,he asked his guard to kick him out.Tenaliram felt bad.He spent some days here and there.One day early in the Morning he saw Rajguru going to have bath in the river,he slowly reached there and stole his cloths,when he cameback and could not see his clothes he got worried,Tenaliram then came with the clothes,and said If you take me to the King’s court on your shoulders then I will give your clothes.Rajguru had no option,he agreed,When King Krishnadev Rai saw the scene he imediately ordered his guards to go and beat the man sitting on the shoulders,the guards were newly appointed,they did not know the Rajguru,and When Tenaliram saw the King watching, he immediately exchanged the positions,now Rajguru was on his shoulders,the guards came and beat him a lot,then they took Tenali ram respectfully to the court.The King asked,”Who are you ?”He explained every thing true.The King was impressed and appointed him in his court.
