Jhoomroo ! Our Pet ! {TRUE STORY }
Jhoomaroo Just came out hatching the egg,while it occurred a wind storm which was quite strong.The nest blew away with its force and Poor Jhoomroo fell down in Mr.Patwardhan’s Corridor which was at the back side of his house because out of the house boundary there was a big garden.Lots of Guava trees laying there and so many Parrots living there.Mr.Patwardhan Was a Science Tutor ,Used to teach Physics & Chemistry to my younger Sister.He was a bachelor was living with His Quite Old mother,so he Brought The Baby Parrot to our house.We had to start with feeding him milk by dropper .My younger brother loved him very much and he named it “Jhoomaroo”
Jhoomroo started growing ,eating on its own ,He used to eat every thing we eat,he liked to have bath while my Mummy put his cage under the Tap ,it again and again coming under water and flapping wings.He enjoyed bathing.
It was my College time and my sister’s too.In exam days both of us used to study late at night and sleep in Right wing of house.It was a dark and rainy night. Due to bad weather Electricity failed,Jhoomroo’s Cage was with us, suddenly he started flapping wigs very fast and squeaking hard,I immediatey Hold Jhoomroo’s Cage by both arms and started to fondle him,after about three minutes he became silent ,Till today I can’t understand What happened that night.
My Mummy’s habit was to hang the cage in the Middle of the door’s knob.He used to squeak and Many of his friends started Squeaking from the Guava trees out side.
And then some of them started coming and sitting around his cage chatting with each other every day,and then one day God knows how but one day He could be able to pull the Cage wire mesh and flew away.We then thought their conspiracy succeeded.He then never turned back.
It’s a saying in India “Tota Chashm” hona ,means ,Never Turn Back to the place or the people who loved and cared him.
